Our state testing (CRT’s) will begin April 26th.  Please make sure your child gets to school on time everyday, eats a healthy breakfast, and gets a good night sleep. 

We also have a field trip scheduled for May 11th.  We will be going to OKC.  Students must have 100 points  for the year and be caught up for that week to attend.

It has been an amazing year so far!!  The kids are getting acclimated to the new building and getting used to switching classes.  This has been an all new experience for them.  A whole new level of learning and responsibility in which they are excelling in.

I can’t believe it is ALREADY almost October!!  This year is flying! School will be letting out October 21st and 22nd for Fall Break and Fall Festival is October 28th.

Basketball is almost over now. The 3rd and 4th grade have one more basketball game on Friday, Feb. 26@ 12:30 @ Cottonwood against Farris. They have done a great job this year!

We hope you had a great Christmas Break! We sure did! But now we are back in full gear again so get ready! Just some tips after the holidays: make sure you get your kiddos in bed early so they are worth something the next day at school. Check planners and sign them because they get AR points towards their weekly goal if they bring them back signed every morning!

• Parent/Teacher conferences are coming up on Feb. 4 from 3:15-9:15.
• NO SCHOOL on Feb. 5!!!!!
• Look at Basketball schedule so you know when games are.
• They have a math vocabulary test every Thursday and a Reading Vocabulary Test every Friday and also a Spelling Test every Friday.

• Fall Festival Thursday, October 22, 2009.
• Cornerstone Kids Ranch trip Thursday, October 29, 2009.  Students need to bring back permission slips and money ($5.00) ASAP.
• Decorate pumpkins Friday morning, October 30th, send decoration items by the 30th.
• Fall Party Friday, October 30th @ 12:30.  Send your childs party items that day.  Students can not wear costumes to school, must bring them to change into.
• 5th-8th basketball tournment @ Stringtown Oct. 26th-30th.

Current News:

* Spirt week has been postponed until the week of  Oct. 19th – 23rd.

*Home basketball game Tuesday, October 13th @ 4:00.

*Field trip to OK City to the Philharmonics, leave @ 8:00 and will return by 3:15.  Students may bring money for a snack, but lunch will be provided by the school.

* There will be no after-school on Wednesday, October 14th.

* Fall break will be October 15th – 16th.
